October is Domestic Violence Awareness month

As some of you may know I have chosen Hubbard House as my cause of choice because of things I’ve had to deal with growing up (Read about that here) and this month is domestic violence awareness month. To start the month the folks at Hubbard house put a purple flag in the ground for each of the 6546 injunctions of protection in Duval alone. First thought is that is way too many people that don’t feel safe and this has to change. That’s the beautiful thing about Hubbard house is the way they don’t just help pick up the pieces they work to change the story. Hope is what they have and whey they give.
